Fifteen funded hours a week for thirty-eight weeks is not the same as fifteen hours a week for the fifty-one weeks most families actually attend. Spread across every attended week it is eleven hours and eleven minutes. The calculator on the funding page does that arithmetic with your own hours in it, and shows the effective rate you end up paying on the hours funding does not cover.

You choose. Term time only spends the entitlement in the thirty-eight weeks it is granted for; stretched thins it across every week you attend. Neither is cheaper by default and which one wins depends on how close your weekly hours are to the entitlement, which is exactly what the calculator shows.

Funding covers the hours of care. It has never covered food, nappies or wipes, and a setting that tells you a funded day is free is either absorbing that cost or charging it somewhere you have not been shown. Ours is on the fee page as its own line at 18.00 a day.

The number on the rooms page is the number in the register, updated the day it changes rather than the week. If it says Hazels has none, Hazels has none, and the waiting list is worked in date order.

Five dollars per five minutes from 18:05. Two members of staff have to stay for one child, which is what the charge covers rather than a penalty.

Yes, with a fortnight’s notice, subject to the ratio in the room on the day you want. Changing days does not change your hourly rate.

The ratio does not move. If it cannot be held, we call before the session rather than after it, and the day is not charged. That is the only honest answer to this question and most settings do not print it.

Slowly, and with the same adult. Settling visits are free and unlimited, they can be as short as twenty minutes, and we do not have a fixed number after which a child is expected to be settled. Some children take a fortnight. Some take a term.
